You can insert mail merge fields to automatically personalize emails sent from templates or broadcasts. Personalized emails are more likely to be opened, read, and responded to, as they feel more genuine and tailored
You can insert the following Mail Merge fields into Email templates:
-
First name
-
Nickname
-
Last name
-
Company name
-
Signature (created using the signature feature in settings)
Merge fields automatically pull in the appropriate data from the contact or user record when sending the email. You can use merge fields in both subject lines and email bodies.
Keep in mind you can insert a Nickname or a First name if the Nickname is blank by formatting your merge fields in the template:
{{Contact.Nickname || Contact.FirstName}}
To insert a merge field, select "Insert Mail Merge" when editing your email template or broadcast. In the screenshot below, the merge fields are highlighted.
