Overview
This article explains how to connect SurveyMonkey and Wealthbox CRM using Zapier, so survey responses can automatically create or update records in Wealthbox. No walkthrough video is currently available for this integration.
What is the SurveyMonkey–Wealthbox integration?
The SurveyMonkey–Wealthbox integration is an automated connection, built through Zapier, between SurveyMonkey (an online survey and questionnaire platform) and Wealthbox's CRM. It is not a native, built-in integration — it runs through Zapier, a third-party automation platform.
How does it work?
Zapier links the two apps using a trigger (an event in one app) and an action (a resulting event in the other app). For example, when someone completes a SurveyMonkey survey, Zapier can automatically create a matching contact, task, or note in Wealthbox.
Available SurveyMonkey triggers
- New Response Notification — triggers a notification when your survey is completed.
- New Response Notification (Complete) — triggers when your survey is completed and sends the entire response. Available only for SurveyMonkey annual paid plans.
Available SurveyMonkey actions and searches
- Send Survey Invitation — sends a survey invitation to one or more contacts and/or email addresses.
- Find Collector — finds a collector for one of your surveys.
- Find Survey — finds one of your surveys.
- API Request (Beta) — sends a custom authenticated HTTP request to SurveyMonkey.

Troubleshooting steps
- Issue: Survey responses aren't triggering the Zap. Solution: Confirm the correct survey is selected in step 6 and that your SurveyMonkey account is still connected and authorized.
- Issue: I can't select the trigger that sends the entire response. Solution: The New Response Notification (Complete) trigger, which includes the full response, is only available on SurveyMonkey's annual paid plans.
- Issue: Fields aren't mapping correctly to Wealthbox. Solution: Revisit the field mapping in step 10 and confirm each SurveyMonkey field is matched to the correct Wealthbox field, especially required fields like Name.
- Issue: The Wealthbox action isn't available to select. Solution: Some triggers, such as Contact Updated, are limited to Premier and Enterprise Wealthbox plans. Confirm your plan level supports the trigger or action you're trying to use.
- Issue: The Zap test fails at the Wealthbox step. Solution: Reconnect your Wealthbox account under the Zap's account settings and confirm all required fields (marked Required) are mapped.
FAQ
- Can I trigger from Wealthbox instead of SurveyMonkey? Yes. Any Wealthbox trigger, such as New Contact, can be paired with a SurveyMonkey action, such as Send Survey Invitation.
- Do I need to know how to code to set this up? No. The setup is done through Zapier's visual builder.
- Can I automate more than one survey? Yes. Each automation is set up as its own Zap, so you can create multiple Zaps to cover different surveys or response types.
