Overview

This article explains how to connect White Swan and Wealthbox, so advisors can send client information from Wealthbox to start life insurance plan requests and track their progress. A recorded webinar is available: How Advisors Use White Swan + Wealthbox to Find the Best Life Insurance Solutions.

What is White Swan?

White Swan is a digital brokerage platform that gives advisors the ability to offer life insurance products through an easy-to-use digital experience that adheres to high best-interest standards. Its integration with Wealthbox lets advisors import contacts and start life insurance plan requests directly from client data already stored in Wealthbox.

How does it work?

Advisors can send a contact from Wealthbox directly to their White Swan account, and that contact's information is used to start a plan request and pre-fill the client's application. To start a plan request, the advisor selects the client's primary goal and policy type; if the policy type isn't known, White Swan can recommend a plan based on the client's goals and preferences. Plan requests can be completed by the advisor on the client's behalf, or shared with the client by email, text, or secure link. Progress can be tracked and case preferences managed from the White Swan partner dashboard, and notes for plan requests, case progress, and earnings events are posted automatically back to Wealthbox.

Step-by-step setup instructions

  1. Confirm you have an active White Swan account and an active Wealthbox account.
  2. From White Swan, locate the option to connect your Wealthbox account.
  3. Log in with your Wealthbox credentials when prompted, and authorize the connection.
  4. From a contact record in Wealthbox, send the contact to your White Swan account.

  5. In White Swan, start a plan request for the client by selecting their primary goal and policy type, or let White Swan recommend a plan.
  6. Complete the plan request on the client's behalf, or share it with the client by email, text, or secure link.
  7. Track the plan's progress from the White Swan partner dashboard, and enable or disable notifications there as needed.
  8. Confirm that notes for plan requests, case progress, and earnings events appear on the client's contact record in Wealthbox.

Troubleshooting steps

  • Issue: A contact sent from Wealthbox isn't appearing in White Swan. Solution: Confirm the Wealthbox connection is authorized in White Swan's account settings, and reconnect if needed.
  • Issue: Notes about plan requests or case progress aren't showing up in Wealthbox. Solution: Check that notifications are enabled on your White Swan partner dashboard, since they can be turned on or off from there.
  • Issue: A shared plan request link isn't reaching the client. Solution: Confirm the correct email address or phone number is on file for the client, and try sharing the plan request again by an alternate method (email, text, or secure link).
