Overview
This article explains how to connect RingCentral and Wealthbox CRM using Zapier, so calls, voicemails, and texts in RingCentral can automatically create or update records in Wealthbox. No walkthrough video is currently available for this integration.
What is the RingCentral–Wealthbox integration?
The RingCentral–Wealthbox integration is an automated connection, built through Zapier, between RingCentral (a cloud-based phone, SMS, video, and fax platform) and Wealthbox's CRM. It is not a native, built-in integration — it runs through Zapier, a third-party automation platform.
How does it work?
Zapier links the two apps using a trigger (an event in one app) and an action (a resulting event in the other app). For example, when a call ends or a voicemail comes in through RingCentral, Zapier can automatically create a matching note, task, or contact in Wealthbox.
Available RingCentral triggers
- New Call Log Record — starts the automation when there's a new call log record.
- Call Ended — starts the automation instantly when a call has ended.
- Missed Call — starts the automation instantly when there's a new missed call.
- New Voicemail — starts the automation instantly when a new voicemail is received.
- New Call Recording — starts the automation when a call has been recorded.
- New SMS/MMS Received — starts the automation instantly when a text is received.
- New SMS/MMS Sent — starts the automation instantly when a text is sent.
- New Fax Received — starts the automation instantly when a fax is received.
- Do Not Disturb (DND) Presence Updated — starts the automation when a user's DND status changes.
- ACE Processed Recording — starts the automation when ACE (formerly RingSense) generates a transcript, summary, and insights from a recording.

Troubleshooting steps
- Issue: New calls or voicemails aren't triggering the Zap. Solution: Confirm the correct trigger event is selected in step 4 and that your RingCentral account is still connected and authorized.
- Issue: Fields aren't mapping correctly to Wealthbox. Solution: Revisit the field mapping in step 9 and confirm each RingCentral field is matched to the correct Wealthbox field, especially required fields like Name or Content.
- Issue: The Wealthbox action isn't available to select. Solution: Some triggers, such as Contact Updated, are limited to Premier and Enterprise Wealthbox plans. Confirm your plan level supports the trigger or action you're trying to use.
- Issue: The Zap test fails at the Wealthbox step. Solution: Reconnect your Wealthbox account under the Zap's account settings and confirm all required fields (marked Required) are mapped.
FAQ
- Can I create tasks in Wealthbox for missed calls? Yes. Pairing the Missed Call trigger in RingCentral with the Create Task action in Wealthbox can automatically generate a follow-up task for every missed call.
- Can I trigger from Wealthbox instead of RingCentral? Yes. Any Wealthbox trigger, such as New Contact, can be paired with a RingCentral action, such as Create Contact or Send SMS/MMS.
- Do I need to know how to code to set this up? No. The setup is done through Zapier's visual builder.
- Can I automate more than one type of communication event? Yes. Each automation is set up as its own Zap, so you can create multiple Zaps to cover calls, voicemails, texts, and faxes separately.
