Overview

This article outlines the AssetMark integration, including its functionality, setup instructions, and troubleshooting common issues. It also features an FAQ section that addresses common questions and offers additional guidance. 

What is AssetMark? 

The AssetMark integration with Wealthbox allows advisors to view client account data directly within Wealthbox. It works similarly to other TAMP/custodian connections in Wealthbox, such as SEI, and provides a streamlined way for advisors to access financial account details without leaving their CRM.

How Does the Integration Work? 

  • Once enabled, accounts will begin to appear on the AssetMark tab of your contact records.

  • The system automatically looks for matches using three main identifiers: First Name, Last Name, and Social Security Number (SSN). If it finds a single person in Assetmark who matches a person in Wealthbox, it links them automatically.
  • If there are multiple people with the same name, we'll use Phone Numbers and Email Addresses as an alternate search method to find the right match.

How to Enable the Integration? 

  1. Select the three dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner, then click Applications. 
  2. Locate AssetMark and select the Settings button.

    • Step 1: Enable or Disable the AssetMark integration in Wealthbox Click Enable and then Save.

    • Step 2: Download and complete the AssetMark Export Request Form (Word Document).

    • Step 3: Request AssetMark Integration Click Request AssetMark Integration to auto-generate an email template.

    • Step 4: Attach the completed export request form to the email and send it to AssetMark.
      • AssetMark will process the request, and data will typically be activated within 24–48 hours.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: Where is AssetMark account information displayed in Wealthbox? 
A: Once enabled, you'll see account data in the AssetMark tab of your Contact Records. 

Q: What information will be displayed once the integration is enabled? 
A: We display your account info, including titles, values, objectives, profile data, demographics, Rep codes, and address details. 


Issue: Why can't my teammate see AssetMark in their Wealthbox profile? 
Solution: Each user must enable this integration individually by following the steps above. Alternatively, if another user in your workspace has requested the AssetMark integration, our team can apply the same Firm/Dealer and Broker IDs to another profile upon request. 

Issue: Why are my accounts not populating? 
Solution: Please verify that your contact record contains a matching First Name, Last Name, or Social Security Number (SSN) in AssetMark.
