The AdvisorStream Integration

The Wealthbox integration allows users the ability to connect their Wealthbox Account to AdvisorStream and enable a set of data-sharing features. These planned features include a Contact Sync, pushing Leads generated on Advisorstream to Opportunities in Wealthbox, and reporting investor Consumption Activity in Wealthbox Notes. 

Key Features of the Integration

  • Contact Sync: Sync Wealthbox contacts with AdvisorStream, ensuring client data remains up to date.
  • Automatic Nightly Sync: New or updated emails sync automatically between 1 AM - 3 AM EST.
  • Leads to Opportunities: Organic leads generated in AdvisorStream are automatically pushed to Wealthbox as Opportunities.
  • Content Engagement Tracking: Investor activity (content views) from AdvisorStream is logged as a note on the contact record in Wealthbox.
  • Dedicated Contact Lists: Synced contacts are stored in an AdvisorStream list called "Wealthbox Contacts," and leads are added to "Wealthbox Opportunities."

How to Enable the AdvisorStream Integration

  1. Click on your name in the top right corner of AdvisorStream and select Account & Settings.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Integrations.

  3. Select Wealthbox Integration.

  4. Click Connect Account (this will redirect you to a Wealthbox sign-in page).

  5. Sign in using your Wealthbox credentials to complete the connection.

  6. Once connected, go to your AdvisorStream account and click Sync Contacts to initiate the sync.

**Make sure that your contacts in Wealthbox are not set to Private (Only Me), or they will not sync to AdvisorStream. You can bulk update the contact permissions on the Contacts page > Bulk Actions > Update: Permissions.

 

How the AdvisorStream Integration Works

Once connected, AdvisorStream will pull individual contacts from Wealthbox during the initial sync. You can enable an automatic nightly sync, which updates new or modified emails between 1 AM and 3 AM EST. Synced contacts will appear in an AdvisorStream contact list called "Wealthbox Contacts."

Additionally, any leads generated through AdvisorStream’s opt-in forms will be automatically pushed into Wealthbox as Opportunities and added to a separate "Wealthbox Opportunities" list in AdvisorStream. Wealthbox remains the primary data source, meaning contacts pulled into AdvisorStream are read-only—any updates, additions, or deletions should be made within Wealthbox, as changes in AdvisorStream will not sync back.

 

Important Notes & Examples

  • Adding Contacts: Manually creating a contact in AdvisorStream will not sync it back to Wealthbox.

  • Deleting Contacts: Removing a Wealthbox contact in AdvisorStream will not delete it from Wealthbox.

  • Contact Management: Adding, editing, or deleting contacts should always be done within Wealthbox.

 

Data Synced:

  • Contacts: First Name, Last Name, Email Address

  • Opportunities: Lead First Name, Last Name, Email Address (optional toggle setting in AdvisorStream)

  • Investor Engagement: AdvisorStream logs Content Views as a note on the corresponding Wealthbox contact record
