When creating an event in Wealthbox, you can add contacts as well as other users to your attendee list and choose to send an invite via email by checking the “send email to invitees” box. When you type the invitees’ names, you can see that users show their initials where contacts are either a headshot or a headshot icon.

Check the "Send email invitations to new invitees and BCC the event creator" box to send an invitation to everyone added to the "Invite" box.

Event invite FAQ

Q: Can I manually mark someone as attending an event in Wealthbox?

A: No, Wealthbox does not currently support the ability to RSVP or mark attendance on behalf of a contact or another user for an event. Each user can manage their own RSVP status, but there is no option to manually set attendance for others.

Q: Why is the ability to send event invitations from Wealthbox not available for LPL users?

A: The ability to send event invitations from Wealthbox is restricted as a result of the LPL eComm Compliance agreement. This restriction exists because Wealthbox sends event invites directly from its own system, rather than through your email client. LPL policy prohibits sending client communications from outside the LPL email system. The “Invitee” field still displays but the checkbox to send the invite will be disabled.

Recommendation: We recommend sending meeting invites using Outlook instead of Wealthbox.

Q: What happens if a contact has multiple email addresses listed?

A: When a contact record (individual or household) in Wealthbox has more than one email address, event invitations will only be sent to one address. Wealthbox will send the message to the email marked as the primary. If no primary email is specified, it will default to the first email listed. Invitations are not sent to all email addresses on the contact record.

Q: What time zone is shown on event invitations sent from Wealthbox?

A: Event invitations sent from Wealthbox display the event time in your local time zone, but the invitation does not automatically indicate which time zone it is. To avoid confusion, we recommend including the time zone in the event description when an invite recipient is in a different time zone.

Q: Can I customize the event invitation email sent from Wealthbox?

A: Currently, it is not possible to personalize the event invitation email sent from Wealthbox. This includes customizing the “From” address or the content of the invitation. All invites are system-generated and sent in a standard format.

Q: Do event invitations from Wealthbox include calendar links or allow recipients to add the event to their calendar?

A: Event invitations sent from Wealthbox do not include calendar links or options to add the event directly to a calendar. The invitation is an email with the event details only.

Q: What causes an event to appear on a Wealthbox user’s calendar?

A: For an event to show up on a user’s Wealthbox calendar, the user must be added to the “Attending” field of the event.

Q: How does Wealthbox report on event attendees?

A: In Wealthbox, only attendees who have responded “Yes” to an event (indicated by a green check mark) will appear in event report results for the "Attendees" field. If a contact’s attendance status is unknown (shown as three dots), they will not be included in the report results.
