You can auto-forward incoming emails from Gmail or Outlook to Wealthbox by following these steps…
*Note, this will capture all incoming emails.
For Gmail:
-
Navigate to your Dropbox Email settings in your Applications in Wealthbox.
-
Copy your unique Dropbox Email address.
-
Add "forwarding-noreply@google.com" to your list of additional Dropbox email addresses.
-
Go to your Forwarding settings in Gmail by clicking here: https://mail.google.com/mail/ u/0/#settings/fwdandpop
-
Within the Forwarding section, add your unique Dropbox email address to the Forward a copy of incoming mail to… field. Ensure to select Keep a copy in your inbox.
-
In Wealthbox, check for an automatic confirmation email from Gmail containing a code. Copy the code and add it to Gmail settings to verify the forwarding email address.
The above instructions apply to incoming emails. Regarding outbound…you can create a contact in Gmail for the unique email address so it is simple to add to the BCC line when you compose a message from Gmail. If you click the email link within Wealthbox for your contact, the unique email address is automatically added to the bcc line, but your browser needs to have Gmail as your default mail-to handler.
For Outlook Web:
- Navigate to your Dropbox Email settings in your Applications in Wealthbox.
- Copy your unique Dropbox Email address.
- Open Outlook Web and sign in to your Outlook account (https://outlook.office.com/).
- Click the Settings (gear icon) in the upper-right corner
- In the settings panel, go to Mail > Rules.
- Select Add new rule.
- Enter a name for your rule.
- Add a condition: choose Apply to all messages.
- Add an action: choose Forward to or Forward as attachment, and enter your unique “Dropbox Email” address where you'd like your messages to be forwarded.
-
- You can also Add another action or Add an exception here if you prefer.
-
- When you're done, select Save.
Additional Tips:
- Test the Rule: Send a test email to confirm that forwarding works.
- Keep a Copy: If you want to keep a copy of forwarded emails in your inbox, ensure you don't have any other rules that might move or delete them.
