Wealthbox generates a unique “DropBox” email address that you can use to forward emails to your contact’s activity stream.
Using the DropBox Email Feature
Obtain your unique address:

Go into the three dots in the upper right corner of Wealthbox > “Applications.”

Click on “Settings” next to “BCC Email Dropbox.”

Copy the email address that is found in the “Your email dropbox address.”
- Forward email messages to the address or add it when replying to emails.
- Emails added to Wealthbox via the BCC DropBox method are saved as part of the Contacts record and, unlike synced emails, will not be deleted from Wealthbox if the email is deleted from the email provider's server or if the user's email sync is disconnected.
- These emails do not display on a contact record's "Email" tab, they will only display in the Contact's "Activity" Stream.
Common questions:
Q: How are these emails linked to contacts?
A: When an email is saved to Wealthbox using the BCC Email Dropbox, it will attempt to link the email to contacts with matching email addresses. If it cannot find a matching email address for any contact, it will create one.
If there is a contact record that includes the email address linked to the BCC'd email, but the user forwarding the email doesn't have visibility permissions for the contact record, it treats it the same way as if the contact doesn't exist and creates a duplicate record.
Q: Can I manually link one of these emails to a different contact?
A: Yes, once you have forwarded the email and it appears in your Workspace stream on the dashboard, click the email subject to open the activity, click Actions in the upper right corner, select Edit, and search the contact record you want to link the message to, and save the activity.
Q: What is a common use case for this feature?
A: If you’re communicating with third parties (e.g., attorneys, accountants) about a specific client, you may want to track those emails under the client’s profile, even though the client isn’t directly involved in the email chain, you can use the BCC Dropbox feature to forward these messages and then manually link them to the applicable contact.
Q: Does the BCC Dropbox email feature support email threading or nesting?
A: No, Wealthbox does not nest or thread the dropbox emails. Each email is stored individually and not grouped as part of a conversation thread, even if it's part of an ongoing email exchange.
Q: Why isn’t my email being processed by the Wealthbox BCC Email Dropbox?
A: The BCC Email Dropbox will only process emails sent from an address listed in your Dropbox settings. Your Wealthbox login email is added automatically, and you can add up to three additional email addresses.
