What is Addepar?
Addepar is a wealth management platform for registered investment advisors that specializes in data aggregation, analytics, and portfolio reporting. The Wealthbox integration lets you see key Addepar portfolio details—like asset class, value, and portfolio percentage—within Wealthbox contact records, allowing direct management of linked clients.
How Does the Integration Work?
- Once connected, accounts will start appearing in Wealthbox within 24-48 hours. You'll be able to easily access linked Addepar clients from Wealthbox and view summarized details from Addepar for a client's portfolio, such as asset class, value, and percentage of the portfolio.
- Each evening, Wealthbox will attempt to retrieve account information from Addepar for the previous day. You will see an indicator on each contact in Wealthbox showing when Addepar accounts were last refreshed within Wealthbox.
- Accounts are automatically matched based on the full client name in Addepar. You can manually link additional clients by clicking the "Manage Clients" button and searching for your clients by name in Addepar.
How to Enable the Integration
- Select the three dots (⋮) in the upper-right corner, then click Applications.
- Locate Addepar and select the Settings button.

From the Addepar application page → click the Connect Addepar button.

Follow the prompts in Addepar and enter your credentials to authorize the integration between Wealthbox and Addepar.

Wealthbox will connect to Addepar and start transferring account data from Addepar to view on the contact record pages in Wealthbox. Accounts should begin appearing in Wealthbox within 24-48 hours.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
Q: What happens if I disconnect the integration?
A: No new data will sync from Addepar to Wealthbox, and previously synced data will no longer appear in Wealthbox.
Q: Can I manually link clients who weren't automatically matched?
A: By clicking "Manage Linked Clients," you can manually search your client list in Addepar and link your clients.
Q: How are accounts matched between systems?
A: Accounts are matched using your contact records' first and last names.
Issue: What if account values aren't being displayed in Wealthbox?
Solution: Since accounts are matched using your client's full name, double-check that your contact records' first and last names match the values set in Addepar.
