How does the Holistiplan integration work?

After enabling the Wealthbox integration within Holistiplan, you have the ability to migrate data between both Holistiplan and Wealthbox. To get started, you can click on the teal Wealthbox Import Wizard link included in the successful link message, or import your data using the steps below.

Import Contacts from Wealthbox

 

From your Holistiplan dashboard, navigate to the Administration menu, and select "Wealthbox Import."

 

If this is the first time you are migrating data, and you select All Types, it may take a while to fetch contacts, so choosing a subset of "All Types" first may be the best approach. You can go type by type until all types have been migrated, and can import contacts regularly to maintain an accurate database.

 

You will then be given the option to fetch different types of data from Wealthbox to Holistiplan. Select the appropriate choice for your circumstances. - Client - Past Client - Prospect - Vendor - Organization - All Types

 

Click "Fetch Contacts"

 

Select the appropriate category for your circumstances, working through each category for that contact type.

 

Note: When importing more than one client to the same household:

1. Upload the primary contact as normal in their household from the Wealthbox import screen.

2. When going to upload the second spouse, instead of selecting "Connect to Existing Holistiplan Client", you'll select "Create New Holistiplan Client." Doing this will allow a new selection to show which household to put that client in.

3. Select the household you want the second spouse to be linked to.

 

Select multiple contacts or individually to proceed to the next step.

 

Select which household to file each individual contact under. No Known Household within Holistiplan: If no Holistiplan clients were found with the same name, you will have the option to create a new household within Holistiplan.

 

Select which household to file each individual contact under. If Existing Household Found within Holistiplan: If there is are existing Holistiplan clients found with the same name, you will have the option to add the contact to the existing household within Holistiplan or to create a new household within Holistiplan.

 

In this example, Kevin Anderson was an existing client within Holistiplan and we have elected to connect the Wealthbox contact to the existing contact for Kevin Anderson already in Holistiplan.

 

Complete the migration of contacts and select the "Load from Wealthbox" button at the top-right side of the screen to load those contact details from Wealthbox into Holistiplan.

 

You will get a message on the bottom-right of the screen noting that the contacts have successfully been loaded into Holistiplan from Wealthbox.

 

Once you have completed the import of your contacts into Holistiplan, from your household page, you can now see the Wealthbox icon next to all households that now have a link established between Holistiplan and Wealthbox.

 


 

Updating Client Data in Holistiplan

 

Holistiplan does not automatically update with any new information that is added to Wealthbox. If you update a contact's information in Wealthbox, you can then migrate those updates to Holistiplan as well using the following steps.

 

From your Holistiplan Dashboard, navigate to the Admin menu, and select "Wealthbox Import."

 

Choose the contact type for which you want to update the information at Holistiplan with new information from Wealthbox.

 

Select the category of "Contacts with family already in Holistiplan."

 

Check the box for each client to update Holistiplan with the new information from Wealthbox.

 

Click the "Update from Wealthbox" button on the top-right of the screen.

 

If successful, you will get a message on the bottom-right of the screen noting that the contacts have successfully been updated in Holistiplan.
