Docupace Integration

Please note: Wealthbox is supported in Docupace's Summer 2020 release. Depending on your Docupace version, you may need to contact your Docupace administrator to help you upgrade before you can use this integration.

 

What does it do?

The integration between Wealthbox and Docupace allows users to send information from Wealthbox to either the "Starting Point" or "Client Folder" destination in Docupace. Starting Point will launch into Docupace's form-prefill solution, while Client Folder will create or update clients within Docupace using information from Wealthbox.

 

How to enable the integration

From the three-dot menu in the top right corner of Wealthbox click on "Applications', then locate the Docupace item and click the "Settings" button as shown in the below screenshot; or click this link: Enable Docupace integration.

 

From there, follow the steps to enable the integration in Wealthbox.

  1. Enter your Docupace URL. This is most easily done by visiting the page you use to log in to Docupace and copying the URL directly from the address bar, then pasting it into Wealthbox.

  2. To enable integration, enter your alias in the WealthBox API Credentials section of the User Settings page within your Docupace account. This alias is unique to your WealthBox user and must be configured to connect both systems. Without setting this private alias, the integration will not function properly.

  3. Set the default destination:

    1. Starting Point will launch into Docupace's "Starting Point" for form pre-fill

    2. Client Folder will create/update client folders in Docupace with information from Wealthbox

  4. Toggle the integration to "Enable" and click the "Save" button.

You can now use the "Send to" menu from a contact record page to send that contact's details to Docupace:

 

How is data updated when sent to the Client Folder in Docupace?

A new client folder will be created unless:

  1. There is an existing client folder in Docupace where the SSN matches the contact's SSN being sent from Wealthbox. In that case, Docupace will receive the information from Wealthbox and update the client folder with that information.

  2. When Wealthbox has already sent the client to Docupace. Wealthbox will find that record based on the CRM Identifier on the client folder in Docupace and will update the client folder with information from Wealthbox.
