You can find your Redtail users' first and last names and IDs by following the instructions below:

  1. Navigate to the "User management" page

  2. Hover (don't click) over the username link for each user to see a URL address appear in the lower left side of your screen.

  3. The 6 digits at the end of the URL is the ID for that user.

  4. You may also need to click into the "disabled" tab to obtain the IDs and names for past users in Redtail.

You can include the list of user first and last names and IDs when you send your data to our migration team.

The Redtail backup does not include the user's first and last names, they only show an ID for the user. Our migration team will need the user full names to apply to the User ID in order to properly associate data to your users in Wealthbox. If we don't include a user's full name who is also a user in Wealthbox, all the notes will appear to be added by the account owner.

If you need the notes and activities to show the correct user association, you will need to provide a list of the user first and last names and the ID that belongs to them in Redtail.

Keep in mind, if the user is not also a user in Wealthbox, as mentioned above, the notes by default will be related to the Wealthbox account owner, but if you provide the inactive users, we will create legacy users to display the correct user association in the history.

Legacy/Inactive Redtail Users:

When you submit your backup and users using our secure upload form, you will have the option to add Legacy/Inactive users. If you want to maintain the users' names on their activities, please be sure to select "map another user", add Redtail ID, First name and Last name, and select "inactive user" when you submit your backup.
