Changing the “Status” field of a contact record is a way to display if the contact is “Active” or “Inactive”. You will not receive notifications for special dates for contacts set to Inactive status. Another benefit is so that you can filter your clients by “Active” status to avoid including past or deceased clients in your lists.

To edit the “Status” of a contact, you can navigate to the “Edit” page from the “Actions” dropdown at the top right corner of the contact profile page. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit page to edit the status and the click the green “Save” button.
